. It brings together eight symbols and numbers that are fundamental in mathematics:
- the relation =
- the addition +
- the multiplication

- the number 0 (neutral element to the addition)
- the number 1 (neutral element of the multiplication)
- the transcendental number
(for calculating with cercles) - the transcendental number e (for exponential growth)
- the imaginary number i (solution of the equation
).

is me,
, alias MathOMan.
I have studied maths in Munich, Nice, Bonn and Paris to graduate with a PhD (advisor: Frédéric Pham, referees: Mikhaïl Zaidenberg and Pierre Cartier).
Along with other authors I wrote the undergraduate text book Mathématiques L1 (published by Pearson Education).
In september 2008 I started this blog in order to write about my everyday life with this crazy mathematics.
